Chapter 03 · The Manifesto
FindBack PH is a free community platform for the Philippines where lost and found reports live in one place, so a phone left on a tricycle and the stranger holding it can find each other without either of them giving up.
Live counts from real FindBack PH reports.
“A wallet is never just a wallet. It's IDs, photographs, and tomorrow's fare. When it goes home, more than an object comes back.”
Why we built this
The long version
Read them in order; they build on each other.
01 · The problem
Bulletin boards, Facebook groups, barangay offices, group chats of group chats. The help was usually out there, scattered across ten places, hoping you'd guess the right one. Most items never come back, not because nobody cared, but because nobody was in the same room.
02 · Our answer
FindBack PH puts lost and found reports side by side, searchable by item, category, and barangay. Every feature exists for a single moment: the second someone realizes the thing they lost is actually coming home.
03 · Who it's for
For Maria, who checked her bag three times on the jeepney. For Jerome, who picked up a wallet and didn't want to just walk away. For everyone willing to spend two minutes giving a stranger their day back.
Not just another bulletin board
Hashed ownership challenges: a secret question only the true owner can answer, unreadable even to us.
Privacy-first messaging, with no public comment threads on someone's lost wallet.
Barangay-level locations, so reports are organized the way Filipinos actually describe places.
No fees, no ads, no premium tiers. Recovery is the product.
A wallet is never just a wallet. It's IDs, photos, and the money for tomorrow's fare.
Every recovery happens because one neighbor posted and another one paid attention.
Helping a stranger get their day back is always worth two minutes.
